Finished Shepheard
I finished Paul Shepheard’s What Is Architecture? yesterday. Afterwards, I realize I read it too fragmentarily. Early on, I felt I wanted to reread it, and when I do I’ll have to do it in longer runs. Reading it while eating, and for a few minutes at a time now and then, made me miss the bigger picture. The details were very refreshing, but I missed his point.
Shepheard’s book also made me want to, finally, read Vitruvius. There’s a Swedish translation that seems wonderful (Bokus, AdLibris).
