Presenting the Sweden weblog
I mentioned that I had an idea for a project. I don’t know if I ever will pursue these ideas and write the software; for now, I’m satisfied with thinking about this, and trying out the creativity techniques I have learned. The project is about an RSS reader, and I wanted to see what ideas I could come up with. So far, I have had lots of exciting ideas, and I will record them in a separate weblog, called The Sweden Weblog.
All RSS readers I know of are not that innovative. Most of them are centered around feeds, displaying items for each feed. One thing I knew already from the beginning was that the items are more important than the feeds. The feeds are secondary. I also knew I wanted lots of feeds, and that the software should know which of them are my favorites. To keep my reading from going stale, it should use randomly pick items from feeds I never read.
Feel free to use and build upon the ideas in this new weblog (although I’d like you to credit me by name and point to my weblog if you do). Also, I’m interested to hear about what you think. I hope you find this to be as interesting as I do.
